Shalom and welcome!
Our new building marks the start of a new chapter in the history of Waldkliniken Eisenberg. It’s a chapter that began with very early consideration for delivering optimal care to Jewish patients. After all, our philosophy of providing top medicine also includes providing top-quality accommodations for all patients — and that includes meeting religious needs.
Plans for the spectacular building designed by star architect Matteo Thun included, for this reason, a synagogue and a kosher kitchen right from the very beginning. We offer you the outstanding medical care of the German Center for Orthopedics at the Waldkliniken Eisenberg, which includes the departments Knee, Hip, Spine, and Hand and Foot along with the departments’ experts, as well as a five-star stay that complies with the 5-star-kosher-service.
Please enjoy a brief glimpse into our beautiful new building on the following pages. We look forward to your visit with us!
Inauguration of the synagogue with formal ceremony
The Waldkliniken Eisenberg inaugurated the Synagogue Eisenberg in its new clinic building on May 22nd with a formal ceremony. Minister President Bodo Ramelow, Charlotte Knobloch and other prominent individuals attended the Waldkliniken Eisenberg’s inauguration ceremony.
Top medicine and hospitality
Rooted in our evidence-based medicine, the Waldkliniken Eisenberg delivers the highest standard of medical care. We have been honored three times since 2020 by the renowned F.A.Z.-Institut as one of Germany’s best hospitals.
The largest university orthopedic center in Europe, the German Center for Orthopedics is at the forefront of international research. And it demonstrates in practice the extraordinary level it has achieved by delivering exceptionally low infection and complication rates and groundbreaking measures for patient safety.
With our five-star accommodations, the beneficial effects of architecture and nature, and our special services for Jewish patients, we deliver a new gold standard for your hospital stay.
Comprehensive services for jewish guests
Right from the very beginning, services for our Jewish guests were integrated into the design for our new building.
That’s why a space for a synagogue, a kosher kitchen and facilities capable of Sabbath mode played an important role in the planning by star architect Matteo Thun.<
By implementing the requirements needed for fulfilling all religious obligations, inaugurating the Synagogue Eisenberg and assigning a mashgiach for observation of the 5-star-kosher-service, our clinic offers Jewish guests the opportunity to continue practicing their faith during a hospital stay.
A new dimension of hospitality
All guests’ rooms at the Waldkliniken Eisenberg offer outstanding comfort and furnishings. Our most luxurious rooms can be found on the fourth floor: in the LEVEL 5 comfort ward.
Here, we offer private patients and patients paying for their own treatment accommodation rivaling that of a five-star hotel.
The generously sized rooms impress with their high-quality accessories, tasteful wall decorations and furniture which was designed by star architect Matteo Thun exclusively for the LEVEL 5 comfort ward.
Patients can look forward to a whole range of extra services here, services that make a stay in our hospital an amazing experience from the very first moment.
We are looking forward to welcoming you
Our hosts, the mashgiach for all religious matters and questions about kosher food, specialists who will help organize and book your trip, and, of course, the medical specialists of the German Center for Orthopedics are your core team before, during and after your stay with us.
For communicating here at the Waldkliniken Eisenberg, we use German, English and Hebrew; other languages are accommodated using suitable interpreters.
Host Alexander Mayrhofer and Guest Relations Manager Daniel Schönberger will be happy to prepare a detailed, individual proposal for you.
